The Lady Hawks’ basketball team took a stand on Tuesday at their game in Springhill. At the end of their game, they decided that, rather than continue to play into overtime, they would instead leave.

“The referees were really just doing us bad,” Junior Shanequia Henry said, “In the end we just left.”

Due to partial treatment towards their opponents, the Lady Hawks’ felt that it would be better to end the game instead of risking further injury. After a particularly bad injury that resulted in a concussion and no foul being called, the team no longer felt safe playing. The game ended in a tie, 50-50.
