Library sees increase in books checked out

With the pandemic, many students have been left with more free-time than they imagined this year. With this the school library has been very popular this year.

Recently ELAR classes have been providing students with more time read in class which has caused an increase in library books checked out this year.

Librarian Jennifer Thomas has noticed this big increase.

“So far there have been more books checked out this year,” Mrs.Thomas said. “Last year circulation stats by this time were 266 books. This year we are at 617 books so far.”

Since the COVID regulations, there are new rules to the library.

“Just like in classes, students need to social distance and sanitize their hands,” Mrs Thomas said. “I also can pull books for the remote learners if they request them.”
