After four years of football and halftime shows, 48 senior members from football, cross country, band, drill team, and cheer will be recognized Friday night.

While some students are ready to leave high school, others will still be attached to the Grove. For Senior Allison Steed it’s going to be hard to leave.

“In the past I’ve been the one to give the flowers to the seniors, and now I’m going to be the one crying,” Allison said. “It’s going to be really sad.”

For senior Tevrin Jackson, he finished his last season of cross country by finishing second at district as a team. For his last meet, he placed in the top 20 as an individual.

“I’m sad that this is my last year, but I had a good run… literally,” Tevrin said.

This year is very special for the football players because they are 9-0 right now and have been working really hard. Senior Austin Toler said he’s very proud of how far they have gone in football this year as well as how they’ve done in school.

“Being honored for what we’ve done is well deserved with all the hard work we put in. We all came a very long way from where we were to where we are now. It takes dedication for what we have accomplished,” Austin said.

The seniors will be honored at 7 p.m. at the football field.
