After the last home game this Friday, November 10, STUCO is hosting their second annual Black Light Mixer. It will take place after the football game for PG students only in the Drill Team gym, and the entry fee will be $5.

“It’s something different,” STUCO sponsor Tiffany Beck said.“We never do anything like it, and it’s really fun when you wear the right stuff and you glow. It’s more like what you would see on a college campus.

“Because we have the black lights out already for the pep rally,” Mrs. Beck said. “It made it really convenient.”

Last year was the first year STUCO held the dance, and it was brought back this year after many requests from students.

“For a couple of weeks now I have had a lot of students ask if we are having it,” Mrs. Beck said. “I think they like it because you just come out and hang out with your peers in a safe environment.”

The idea for the dance came from former 2017 STUCO president Will Humphrey, who wanted an untraditional dance.

“Will came up with the idea because he wanted something to do on campus that was low-key, no pressure, and you don’t have to go out and buy a corsage,” Mrs. Beck said.“You come as you are.”
