On Oct. 4, senior Georgia Cobb was crowned the 2019 homecoming queen.

Two hours before she was supposed to be walking down the football field for the homecoming presentation, Georgia had a volleyball game. She didn’t have much time to go home and get ready.

“It was stressful,” Georgia said. “I didn’t know if I would be able to get ready and make it on time to the homecoming court after my game.”

Luckily, she made it to the court on time, and was dubbed this year’s homecoming queen. Georgia was ecstatic about her win.

“I was so happy,” said Georgia. “I was in shock when they called my name, I didn’t expect to win.”

After all the stress and hard work, it all paid off for Georgia. It was also a great experience for the other girls.

Georgia Cobb was accompanied by Presley Garvin, Gracie McDougal, Rachel Hemphill, Kyla Prinsen, Kaylee Strawn, Cara Ann Court, Mica Taylor, Jessica Colvin, and Chloe Carpenter.
